It wouldn't hurt to clean the solenoids, might as well go ahead and do it. but yea the clunk is probably the tranny mounts or engine mounts. the process of cleaning them is pretty much straight forward. you cant really mess them up unless you beat on them to much when you are trying to unstick them, if they are stuck. via
