Does a Dodge Nitro have shocks or struts?

Shocks and struts are important parts of your 2008 Dodge Nitro suspension system. They help you stay in control as your car handles bumpy roads and uneven terrain. Shocks keep the car from bouncing too much and struts support the structure of the suspension. via

What's the difference between Hydro and Nitro shocks?

Nitro shocks are filled with pressurized nitrogen gas. This makes nitro shocks performance levels much higher than hydro shocks. This increase in performance does come at a cost though, your ride won't be nearly as smooth, as with a hydro shock, due to this pressurized nitrogen. via

How do you measure coilover shocks?

At full bump, measure from where you will be mounting the bottom of the shock on the axle, to where you will mount the top of the shock. Now add 1″ to the overall length of that measurement. This extra 1″ will make up for the 5/8″ bumper stop on the shock shaft, and the 3/8″ of extra shaft showing. via
